Quest for Excellence – The four guiding factors of our design
SUSTAINABLE
Our designs seek to minimize the negative environmental impact of our buildings by efficiency and moderation in use of energy, materials, resources and space. This also provides tangible benefits by reducing the cost of operational energy, material and constructional cost of building. We adopt innovative use of passive, advance passive and active techniques for energy saving on thermal comfort, lighting and ventilation. The use of high embodied energy materials is restricted and green building practices are preferred. The attempt is to develop a language that embraces both qualitative and quantitative dimensions of the built environment aligned with the vectors of sustainability.
HUMANISTIC
The design for us is not merely problem solving, but it is driven by a sense of belief that if we create an environment which is humane, user centric, and nourishes human senses; will add lasting quality to the life of its inhabitants. The building is not just an object of novelty to look at; which may initially impress the onlooker, but the lasting impression is based on the experiences of the individual user in their spaces beyond aesthetics, and fulfilment of their physical, emotional needs and aspirations by humanistic qualities of those spaces which may be indoor, semi out door and open to sky.
CONTEXTUAL
Buildings are always within a context and we make an attempt to embed our designs into it. The immediate context is site, its characteristics, like shape, terrain and the nature and conditions around, climate and its elements such as breeze, light, sun, etc. Our practice is to design in a way that not only respects these elements but wherever necessary build the relationship with surroundings and larger context of region, its culture and traditions.
AFFORDABLE
Our efforts towards affordability are directed towards achieving space, energy and material optimization with no compromise on functionality, human comforts, and aspirations, which is accomplished by innovative use of technology, materials and details as well as spatial planning according to the hierarchy of design forces.
